BBI’s Dr. Trevor Bedford, professor of biostatistics, bioinformatics and epidemiology at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, has been interviewed by countless news organizations on his research regarding SARS-CoV-2 and its variants. He recently was quoted in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and NPR.

“In two years’ time since the start of the pandemic, we’ve accomplished about five years of equivalent evolution of [a type of influenza],” he told The Washington Post. “The evolution has been remarkably fast so far.”
