BBI is kicking off the first meeting of a new Seattle Area Single Cell (SASC) user group on February 13 from 3 to 5 pm on the UW main campus, room S110 in the Foege Building. There is no charge and refreshments will be served.
This will be the first of SASC’s quarterly gatherings. Questions may be directed to Dr. Mary O’Neill, BBI’s director of Single Cell Genomics at oneillmb@uw.edu.
“We are looking to create connections among single cell researchers at BBI’s three member organizations – Seattle Children’s, Fred Hutch, and UW Medicine – as well as other Seattle-area researchers by discussing experiences and exchanging ideas,” said O’Neill, who is leading this endeavor.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to register through this link. Moreover, a landing page has been created for individuals to add themselves to the SASC mailing list.
“Single-cell molecular profiling techniques provide unprecedented insights into cellular heterogeneity and gene regulation," said O’Neill. “But these techniques also come with unique technical and computational challenges. We hope SASC will help foster community among researchers facing similar dilemmas and propel our collective research efforts forward.”
